We are proud to offer, on behalf of one of our clients, this fully restored 1968 Porsche 911S — a rare and highly sought-after classic.
The 1968 911S was produced in very limited numbers for the European market and was never officially sold in the United States due to emission regulations. With only 1,267 S Coupes built, this model has become increasingly difficult to find. Furthermore, 1968 marks the final year of the short-wheelbase (SWB) 911, a specification cherished by collectors for its purity, style and unmistakable early-911 driving character.
Comprehensive restoration performed in the Netherlands
This example underwent a complete restoration between 2016 and 2025, carried out in the Netherlands to an exceptionally high standard. The car has been refinished in its original exterior colour, Ossi Blue (colour code 6803), paired with a black houndstooth interior. The result is a car that presents beautifully and performs exactly as Porsche intended.
Matching Numbers & Authentic Documentation
The car is fully matching numbers, as confirmed by an official Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and kardex. This makes it an exceptionally desirable and truly blue-chip collectible within the Porsche community.
Mechanical Details
The 2.0-litre engine, carried over from the 1967S, produces a healthy 160 hp. As an early 1968 example, it features the strong aluminium engine block, identical to the 1967 units — a detail highly prized by enthusiasts. Since the completion of its restoration, the car has not been driven, preserving its concours-level condition.
