At Porsche, the “S” has always stood for the sportiest version, lightweight, high-revving, and built for pure driving pleasure. The 2.2-litre version from 1970–1971 combines the power of Porsche’s most potent engine of that era with the open character of the Targa, named after the legendary Targa Florio in Sicily. An irresistible blend of performance and elegance.
This original 911S 2.2 Targa is coming to market after nearly 20 years of enthusiast ownership. The car boasts an impressive rally history, having successfully completed numerous events such as the Tulip Rally and Winter Trial, all without any significant issues.
Always meticulously maintained and thoroughly overhauled a few years ago. Finished in its original colour Gemini Metallic, a stunning shade that beautifully highlights the car’s timeless lines.
Technically, this Porsche is in excellent condition. Recently it underwent a major service, during which the HKZ ignition system and related components were renewed. The car was also fully dry ice cleaned and given a complete technical inspection.
All maintenance invoices from the past 20 years are present, along with a FIVA passport, Porsche birth certificate, and various spare parts.
